The Woodlands Joint Powers Agency is the central management agency for the eleven Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs) that currently serve The Woodlands in Montgomery County. The services they provide are water distribution, wastewater collection, storm drainage and tax collection services.

Request a Vacation Watch While you are out of town the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Patrol Division will check on your residence for a minimum of 2 days up to a maximum of 30 days. |

Alarm Permits Each home owner and/or business owner with an alarm system residing in the unincorporated areas of Montgomery County is required to obtain a permit. If an officer responds to a false alarm that has no permit, the owner may incur a $75 fee. |

New Residents
Texas Department of Public Safety
Start here if you have moved from out of state and need to obtain a Texas driver's license. You will first have to have all of your cars inspected. Most car repair or oil cchange locations also provide inspection services. Second, you will need to have your cars registered in Texas. Only then can you apply for your Texas driver's license.Fill out the form and then mail to Montgomery County Elections Administrator.
