President’s Letter

Dear Fellow College Park Village Residents,

Welcome to our newly designed web site.  Along with the changes to the web site comes several other changes on our board.

We welcome several new board members to our CPVA Board of Directors.  All of the members of the board are committed to serving our village to ensure the best in our village.  We are very proud of the uniqueness of the Village of College Park, and stive to maintain the quality of life you expect, not only within The Woodlands, but particularly in the Village of College Park.

We are unique in that our village is the only non-contiguous village in The Woodland.  Our bounties lie on both the east and west sides of Interstate 45 and the north and south sides of State Highway 242.  We are served by two county commissioner districts and three MUD districts.   Our uniqueness brings about some challenges, but at the same time it brings about many advantages.

As you navigate this newly designed web site, we hope you are able to find it user friendly, informative and enlightening.  We have attempted to develop it in a way that gives you (or directs you to) the information you need.  Some of the direction and links will bring you to other web sites; The Woodlands Township (insert link), Montgomery County, etc., where you may find additional information.

Your board works hard to bring you events that are appealing to all residents, and we welcome any suggestions you may have.  Our two main functions each year are our Poolooza/Spring Festival (usually held the Saturday of the weekend before the weekend of Memorial Day each year) and our Spooktacular/Fall Festival (usually held the Saturday before Halloween each year).  In addition to these events, we attempt to bring other smaller events to engage more residents.  Please check out the activities page (insert link) to see the current planned events.

The College Park Village Association Board of Directors (link to board members page) meets the third Monday of each month (except December) at The Woodlands Township townhall building, beginning at 6 pm.  You are welcome to join us anytime, and we encourage resident participation at our meetings.

If you have any questions, or need any issues addressed, consider us your first contact.  We will do our best to provide you with answers, or direct you to those who can address your needs.  We are here for you.

I’ve lived in our village since 2000, and it has been my honor and pleasure to serve as your board president for many of those years.   I, and each member of the board, serve as volunteers, and it is our commitment to you, to make College Park a great place to live.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.

Sincerely,

Ted Stanley
